What are optical fibres?

Optical fibres are tiny threads of glass. Data is converted into light and then sent through the glass, which transmits the signal at the speed of light. The glass strips are surrounded by cladding which protects them from heat, moisture and loss of light. Fibre optics form the backbone of all professional networks – we now bring these networks to you.
